A Frederick Douglass Tour is a quick and easy opportunity to visit a facility to gauge your interest in prison ministry. The experience includes not only a brief tour, but also the opportunity to create human connections and have meaningful conversations which can impact the way we think about the incarcerated and prison life. The tours are provided in conjunction with the Louisiana Parole Project and are 3 hours in length.
Kolbe retreats, our primary focus, support our mission to share the agape love of Chirst with those in prison and to teach the fullness of the Catholic faith to the incarcerated. The retreats are carried out over 3 weekend days within the prison facilities.
Priests and deacons from surrounding dioceses say mass for inmates on a weekly basis.
The Order of Christian Initiation of Adults (OCIA) Program enables those in prison to still enter into the fullness of participation in the Catholic Church
Volunteers share faith with inmates in a group setting.
